It has been a long time since this website has been updated. In fact, the UNDER CONSTRUCTION sign has been here for quite a while. If there was anyone out there wondering where I was, sorry for the delay. Here is what I have been working on.
1. WEBSITE & LOGO REDESIGN
Since we last spoke, I had been trying to make some directional decisions as far as where I was headed for 2012. One of the decisions that was made was starting a new blog. Not a blog about my work but a blog supporting the handmade community, which has been so welcoming and supportive of me. The new Blog is called Keeping It Indie. In order to start that blog, I had to learn WordPress. Once I got the blog going, I realized that WordPress could also be a great way to configure my new website to 1. tie it in with the blog 2. make it easier to keep it updated.
So that is where we are. The new Sweet Harvey site is a sister site to Keeping It Indie and we are all planning to work together in perfect harmony. Here is the designs next to each other so you can see how they compliment each other. Hope you like the new design!

2. GOALS FOR THIS YEAR
Upon the ringing in of the New Year, everyone seems to be making a list of resolutions & goals for 2012. While I have been having a bit of trouble deciding what I wanted to focus on this year, I have finally narrowed down my list to five items. These five items will get done before the end of this year.
1. Website Redesign — CHECK — yeah!
2. Screen-print in two colors
3. Find ways to incorporate sewing into my work
4. Illustrate something at least once per week
5. Paint again
So there you have it, these are my goals for 2012. It has been a long time since I painted so that is going to be the hardest to accomplish. The longer you step away from a medium, the harder it is to return. Honestly, it is simply my fear that I will no longer be able to do it well. I guess that means I will just need to practice more once I have my paints out.
